TAU Microsystems Design and Characterization Laboratory (MDCL), PI: Viacheslav Krylov
The MDCL is led by Prof. Krylov. The laboratory has state of the art facilities for electrical and mechanical dynamic characterization of micro scale structures in including several wafer probers, microsystem analyzer MSA 600 (by Polytec), vacuum chambers, fast camera and lock-in amplifier H2FLI (by Zurich Instruments). Modeling tools include dedicated MEMS modeling software intelliSuite along with the general purpose packages Comsol and Ansys. The facilities (clean rooms) of the Tel Aviv University Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology along with the expertise of MDCL collectively allow full cycle development of MEMS devices, starting from modeling and design, up to microfabrication and testing. These facilities are of key importance to the success of the proposed research.
